31 days in Wellington, day 8: 'Sweet Kisses/Silver Flowers' by Fraser Ross (c) 2012. A folky gem from a prolific lyrical genius, which rolls along beautifully and builds into something quite simply stunning. Fraser Ross has a knack for storytelling through perfectly paced songwriting, and we can't get enough of this guy's voice.
Fraser Ross has described his own music as "eccentric folk", and it seems he can't be tied down by genre or location; he performs throughout New Zealand regularly and has spent time overseas, including Scotland, taking his tunes to interesting places and always producing lots of new material. His latest collection of songs, on the LP 'Mongrels', is available on his Bandcamp page (link below).
31 days in Wellington is proud to feature Fraser Ross as the eighth day in a series of 31 tracks by Wellington bands and musicians over March 2016.
